The Union Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates who wish to take the Geologists' Examination-2012 commencing from 01/12/2012 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist in various departments of India Government. Brief details of the notification are as follows:
Category-I (Posts in Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines)
Geologist Group A: 300 posts in Geological Survey of India, Age: 21-32 years as on 01/08/2012.
Assistant Geologist Grade-I Group B: 67 posts in Geological Survey of India, Age: 21-32 years as on 01/08/2012.
Category-II (Posts in Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources)
Jr. Hydro-Geologists (Scientist B) Group A: 03 posts in Central Ground Water Board, Age: 21-35 years as on 01/08/2012
Assistant Hydro-Geologists Group B: 12 posts in Central Ground Water Board, Age: 21-30 years as on 01/08/2012
Educational Qualifications: Master's Degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology/ Mineral Exploration/ Hydrology OR Diploma of Associate-Ship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
Application Fees: Rs. 200/- (Female/SC/ST/ PH are exempted from payment of fee) by cash in any Branch of SBI OR by Net-Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card of SBI Group.
