Indian Forest Services Examination-2012

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2012 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 14th July 2012. Brief details of the notification are as follows:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects  out of these- Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology OR a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limits: 21-30 (As on 1st August 2012) Relaxable as per UPSC norms.

Application Procedure: The candidates are required to apply Online at http://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php while candidates from certain areas of the country can apply through prescribed format, offline also, which can be purchased from designated Head Post Offices/ Post Office by cash payment of Rs.30/- only. Last date for making application is 14/05/2012.

Examination Fee: Rs. 100/- (Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee)
