Haryana Government has started the amended scheme “Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Medhaavi Chhatra Yojna” in order to motivate the SC/BC students in the education field. The brilliant students scoring high in examinations shall be honoured by providing with scholarships, so that they can achieve the new heights. Under this scheme, the eligibility conditions and scholarship amounts are as follows:
For SC students
After Middle: Scholarship of Rs. 4000/- will be provided in IXth class; Percentage in VIIIth: 75% for Urban, 70% for Rural area.
After Matriculation: Scholarship of Rs. 4000/- will be provided in 10+1 and First year of all diploma/ certificate courses; Percentage in Xth: 75% for Urban, 70% for Rural area.
After 10+2: Percentage in 10+2: 75% for Urban, 70% for Rural area; Scholarship will be provided in First year of Graduation courses in following way:
BA = Rs. 6000/-
B.Com/ B.Sc = Rs. 8000/-
Engineering/ Technical UG Courses = Rs. 9000/-
Medical & Allied courses = Rs. 10000/-
After Graduation: Percentage in Graduation: 65% for Urban, 60% for Rural area; Scholarship will be provided in First year of Graduation courses in following way:
MA/ M.Sc/ M.Com = Rs. 9000/-
B.Com/ B.Sc = Rs. 8000/-
Engineering/ Technical and other professional Courses = Rs. 11000/-
Medical & Allied courses = Rs. 12000/-
For BC(A) students: Scholarship will be available only for the students who have passed 10th class with minimum 80% (Urban) or 75% (Rural). The scholarship of Rs. 8000/- will be provided in 10+1 or First year of all Diploma/ Certificate Courses.
For BC(B) students: Scholarship will be available only for the students who have passed 10th class with minimum 90% (Urban) or 85% (Rural). The scholarship of Rs. 8000/- will be provided in 10+1 or First year of all Diploma/ Certificate Courses.
Submission of application form: The students studying in Chandigarh (UT) are required to submit their application to District Welfare Officer, Panchkula and others should submit te same to District Welfare Officer, Gurgaon.
