CPT not necessary for becoming CA

Students shall not be required to qualify CPT (Common Proficiencey Test). This facility will now be available for Graduates of all disciplines. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is going to bring this change very soon. This step of ICAI will provide opportunity to more people for becoming CA. According to the sources, the students achieving the minimum score/ percentage set by ICAI, shall be eligible for admission to CA. Moreover, they shall be able to do Article ship directly after admission to CA. Mr. V. Murali, Chairman, Board of Studies, ICAI told this. The minimum percentage has not been decided yet, but if we believe the sources, the commerce graduates shall need 55% marks in B.Com. and other graduates shall need 60% in Graduation.
