Common MAT for admission to Management Institutes in India

All India Council of Technical Education has approved the proposal of a Common Entrance Test for admission to all Management Institutes other than IIM’s from 2013. AICTE had recently decided that a Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to all IIM’s (Indian Institute of Management) and a Common Management Admission Test (MAT) for admission to all other institutes will be conducted. Due to this decision of AICTE, 2500 Management Institutes will be able to give admission to the students through a single Common MAT, while nearly 3, 00, 000 students will avoid the unnecessary harassment due to appearing in different entrance tests for admission. The students shall have an option to get admission in any institute according to their merit. Institutes shall be provided a common merit list, through which they shall be able to call the candidates for admission.

Driver & Conductor Recruitment in Haryana Transport

Haryana Transport Department invites applications on the prescribed application form from the eligible Male candidates for appointment to the posts of Heavy Vehicle Drivers & Conductors on One year contract basis for Haryana Roadways City Bus Service at Gurgaon & Faridabad cities:

Heavy Vehicle Driver:  600  posts (Gurgaon-250, Faridabad-350); Pay: Rs. 10000/- consolidated (10% increment in case the contract period is extended further); Age: 18-40 Years (as on 02/12/2011)

Conductor:  600  posts (Gurgaon-250, Faridabad-350); Pay: Rs. 8000/- consolidated (10% increment in case the contract period is extended further); Age: 18-40 Years (as on 02/12/2011)

THE INDIAN NAVY invites applications from unmarried male candidates to join the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala in 10+2 (Technical) Cadet (B.Tech.) Entry Scheme Course Commencing from June 2012.

Age: Between 17 to 19 years (Date of Birth between 02 January 1993 to 01 July  1995 both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in class 10th or 10+2.

Physical Standards: Minimum height - 157 cm, with correlated weight. Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 with glasses.
