West Bengal Board of Primary
Education invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of
34559 Assistant Teachers in the Govt. Aided, Sponsored Primary and Junior Basic
Schools under all District Primary School Councils. Brief details of the advertisement
are as follows:
Name of the Post: Assistant Teacher
Total no. of Vacancies: 34559 posts (Bankura-1770, Birbhum-1968, Burdwan-2521,
Coochbehar-1272, Dakshin Dinajpur-753, Hooghly-1760, Howrah-1597, Jalpaiguri-1442,
Kolkata-1483, Malda-2493, Murshidabad-2403, Nadia-1757, North 24 Parganas-4799,
Paschim Medinipur-1871, Purba Medinipur-383, South 24 Parganas-2792, Purulia-1424,
Siliguri-303, Uttar Dinajpur-1768)
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-25200 plus Grade
Pay as admissible.
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary
under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with
at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education/ Special Education OR Higher Secondary under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary
Education or equivalent with at least 45% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the
NCTE Regulations 2002 AND qualified in Teachers Eligibility
Test (TET).
Age Limits: 18-40 years as on
01/01/2012 (Relaxation as per norms to reserved category candidates).

can be obtained from different
banks branches/ CLRCs (North 24 Parganas) during the usual banking hours up
to 30/11/2012 against a payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 25/- for SC/ ST)
How to Apply: Candidates are
required to apply on the Prescribed Format available at different Bank
branches/ CLRCs and submit the applications at the same branch/ CLRS on or before
30/11/2012.
