एक प्रसिद्ध इतिहासकार जेड एडम्स ने अपनी पुस्तक ‘Gandhi: Naked Ambition’ में कई ऐसी बातों का खुलासा किया है, जो काफी विवादास्पद रही हैं। इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि किताब में लिखी गई बातों को जानने के बाद जनता और मीडिया में खासा बवाल मचा था, लेकिन इस किताब के बाद गांधी की सच्चाई के बारे में लोगों के मन में भी कई सवाल उठे और उन्हें इन बातों पर विश्वास भी नहीं हो रहा था। आज भी अधिकाँश लोग इन बातों पर विश्वास नहीं करते। परन्तु सत्यता क्या है, इसका किसी को नहीं पता। किताब में लिखा गया कि गांधी युवा लड़कियों के साथ नहाते और सोते थे, जिस पर कई लोग आसानी से विश्वास करने वाले नहीं थे। किताब के अनुसार, गांधी के बारे में इस तरह की जानकारी उनके जीवनकाल में ही जान ली गई थी, लेकिन गांधी को
