Kurukshetra University B.Ed Admission Notice for in-service teachers 2011-12

Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra invites applications for B.Ed. programme (Distance mode) for In-Service teachers for session 2011-12. Important points & information are as follows:

Duration of Course:

The minimum duration of the programme is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be five years.

Eligibility: Graduation or PG Degree with minimum 50% marks. However, SC/ ST/ Blind/ PH/ VI candidates need only 45% marks.

Note: The condition of 50% marks shall not apply to persons appointed as teachers prior to the commencement of the National Council for Teacher Education (Regulations Norms and Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 30.3.2010 and Gazette Notification dated 26.7.2010.

Experience: Two years’ (completed on or before 31/05/2011) full time teaching experience on temporary/ permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a Primary/ Secondary/ Senior Secondary school with registration number recognized by the central or a state government or a union territory.

Total Seats: 500 ( Gen-250, SC-100, BCA- 80, BCB- 55, PWD- 15)

Admission Process: Admission will be done on the basis of the score/ merit obtained in the entrance test conducted by KU. The final admission to the programme shall be after production of proof of eligibility alongwith original certificates and programme fee.

Way to apply for Entrance Exam: First obtain the Prospectus Code DE-B.Ed-11 from Manager, P&P, KU Kurukshetra and submit the same duly filled in at DCC, KUK by hand or send by post till 29/07/2011. Cost of the prospectus is Rs. 800/- (By Hand) and Rs. 850/- (By Post). For SC/ BC/ Blind candidates the prospectus costs Rs. 200/- (By Hand) or Rs. 250/- (By Post).

Programme Fees: Rs. 10,000/- at the time of admission in the first year and Rs. 10,000/- till 03/01/2012. Fee for second year will be published later in 2012-13 prospectus.
