If your ward is Fail in Mathematics or Science, you need not worry about that. He/she can still become an engineer after taking admission to Polytechnic College. Haryana Government has amended the rules for admission to Diploma in Engineering.
New rules are: Till last session, the condition for admission in Diploma was to pass the Mathematics and Science Examinations in class 10. But from this session, the candidates need not pass these two subjects. Only 35% marks and “PASS” in Matriculation Examination is sufficient. Also, the students seeking admission through Management Quota need not appear in Entrance Test.
