Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board invites applications from Indian citizens for the following posts in UP Police through prescribed application forms which are available from selected Post Offices in all the districts of UP :
01. Sub-Inspector (Civil Police): 3698 posts (UR-1849, OBC-998, SC-777, ST-74)
02. Platoon Commander (Provincial Armed Constabulary): 312 posts (UR-156, OBC-84, SC-66 and ST-06)
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-
Age Limits: 21-28 years as on 01/07/2011. Upper age relaxation will be as per rules.
Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University.

Way to apply: Prescribed OMR application form complete in all respects should be submitted in the post office from where the form was purchased till 5.00 pm 25/06/2011. application forms and details can be purchased from all Main/ Head Post Offices in all the districts (total 131 ) of UP from up to 25/06/2011 on payment of Rs.50/-
